What are the real downsides in practice — driver support, warranty, thermals, resale? Curious whether it is a novelty or genuinely useful.

only worth it if youre running big local models and vram is what stops you. fits = full speed, doesnt fit = spilling to ram and its unusable. thats the whole use case
anything else nah. games dont come close to that much, and its a hand modded card, no warranty, weird bios, good luck reselling. memory side cooling is what dies first from what ive seen
